This is an extremely important question for any potential buyer for three reasons. First of all, when you decide to buy in The Meadows you are not only purchasing the house but also the land it sits on. All of our residents own their lot, therefore there’s no lot rental fee to pay.
Secondly, lot ownership means you have to follow the covenants of The Meadows of Astatula Homeowner’s Association (MOA-HOA), which owns, maintains and operates the roads, the sewer system, the water system, the pool & clubhouse within the community. It is advised you read these covenants over and understand them before you decide to buy your own lot and land.
Lastly, it’s important to know that covenant forbids lot-owners from renting out units. All units must be occupied by their homeowners. This way, owners are fully invested in the quality of the community. Which forms the full meaning of the term: “Resident Owned Community”.
